What is Motion FM?

Motion Fm is multi-radio portal offering at the moment radio stations: Deep House (ex. stylenetwork) Smooth Jazz & Soul and Lounge. Each stations has its own sections and services, while it is part of the general project creating a multiple soundrack that fits your mood anytime you tune in. Listed on Windowsmedia.com Motion as of October 2006, Motion Fm has become the daily destination all eclectic music lovers of the world.

What happened to stylenetwork?

Stylenetwork ceased to exist on September 2006, when it was renamed to Motion FM. A second radio was added after a few weeks and the first 2 channels were born: House Motion Fm and Smooth Motion Fm. On Januray 2007 Lounge Motion Fm was added to the family exopanding the music options of our listeners.

How does Motion Fm supports its operational cost?

Motion is funded partly through donations and subscriptions and partly through our savings.

How can I support Motion FM?

WEBSITE FUNCTIONS :

Webiste is currently divided in 3 sections: House Motion Fm, Smooth Motion Fm and Lounge Motion FM. Each section runs a separate radio channel.
House Motion or Motion One is the leading radio channel on Motion fm project streamimg non stop deeply soulful house grooves. Continuing the success of stylenetwork.org, House Motion insists on selecting deliciously stylish house vibes and supporting quality house music. Smooth Motion or Motion or Motion Two combines elements of classic soul, jazz funky music with today's neo-soul, smooth jazz and nu jazz sound. The ambient is smooth, silky, and seductive flowing spirited rhythms, interesting harmonies and sensational cool grooves. Lounge Motion or Motion three is serving you a delicious cocktail of relaxed grooves, organic rhythms, laid back lounge and world jazz vibes.

Each radio offer 3 streams: Premium – High – Low . All radio include the following sections: Now playing, requests/dedications, releases, artists/dj, On-Demand, shoutbox (House only) and forum. Some additional pages exist depending the music style of the radio.

Premium VIP page is available only for VIP subscribers including: VIP listening links, on air information of all radios, help center, promotional podcasts and several motion surprise gifts on no regular basis.

NOW PLAYING

Now playing shows current song playing, coming up information, song history and time left. Track info is available on button (i).

REQUEST SYSTEM:

Each radio features a unique request system. The entire song library is available for request and dedication. Different conditions apply on each radio.
For House Motion requests do not play automatically. During scheduled shows requests are disabled. All other moments requests play soon, depending the song queue. For Smooth Motion and Lounge Motion requests play in a few minutes. The limit is 2 songs every hour.

STREAM HELP:

In order to listen click on the listen now button. A new page one offering all the choices to tune in . Each radio has 3 listening options: Premium 160k, High 64k and Low 32k. The basic streams (64-32k) content is the same but with less data quality. The Premium Stream offers cd quality sound with ll the highs and lows present. Premium service is offered only to VIP members for a low fee and it is compatible with all available players and OS. In order to listen to the free streams you need to have the Windows media player installed on your system. For maximum perfomance we recommneded the latest version 11. However, if you don’t have windows media player, you have the choice to use winamp or videolan as an alternative. You may laso use Real Player if it is the default player of the system. MAC users can download windows media player for mac or use Videolan.

Why the stream is skipping?

That's a long discussion. Usually, it means the strean is buffering due to decrease in available internet bandwidth. Be sure that have enough bandwidth (broadband connection) in order to use high or premium links. Otherwise we recommend low quality links. If you are on broadband you may have a hardware problem or software issue. If the problem persists, we recommend to call to your isp to test the line from their end.
