You know you can expect a certain level of quality when Ron Trent is involved in a record, and so it is on this release for US stable Headphoniq. The man shares a gem from the vaults in the form of “Dancin (Lost Prescription)”, keeping things simple with a subtle Bee Gees lick, steady drums and all of that slick string stabbing business he does so well. Jordan Fields meanwhile has a stoutly modern sounding approach by comparison that packs a mean punch, keeping the chords slender and dropping a mean vocal sample. Morgan Alexander is on a mellower deep house tip with some choice metallic tones in amongst the gently grooving beat, before Leandre smooths things out with a sample rich groove laced with very strong funk on “Ligne De Mire”.<\/p>\n
