Revered Big Apple soul-dance artist DJ Spinna will release a two-disc compilation later this month reflecting the best of his house remix work.<\/p>\n

The Sound Beyond Stars (The Essential Remixes) promises a thorough summary of Spinna\u2019s finest fusions of uptempo house rhythm, jazz, funk and soul. Naturally, his biggest licks are present \u2013 remixes of Shaun Escoffery\u2019s \u2018Days Like This\u2019 (alongside Ticklah) and \u2018Space Rider\u2019, not to mention Fertile Ground\u2019s stirring \u2018Live In The Light\u2019. Elsewhere, expect classic (and epic) revamps of Louie Vega, Tortured Soul, Kerri Chandler, Bah Samba and Ralf GUM (with singer Monique Bingham).<\/p>\n

Spinna, real name Vincent Williams, started out as a hip-hop spinner during the early 1990s before progressing to soulful house and disco and establishing a major reputation within those genres. The Sound Beyond Stars will be released as both unmixed two-disc CD and double-pack vinyl, and mixed digital download.<\/p>\n
