Here, the head honcho rides ouhttp://motionfm.com/wp2014/wp-admin/options-general.phpt again, accompanied by the nearest and dearest from the label family for a full length compilation LP. So get your motor running and prepare for a sunlit trip down the coastal “High Road” as we get treated to a one-off, double vinyl celebration of all the label stands for.

Eddie’s opener “Where We Going” perfectly hits that blue-eyed soul sweetspot between jazz-funk and AOR, all shimmering sax solos and piano licks, before El Molito’s “Put Some” gets lithe and loopy with a slo-mo soul stomper for early in the set. Soon enough Eddie’s in hypnotic disco dub mode and El Molito’s rounding out the first side with the sultry downbeat of “Machine Alley”. On Side B, Hrdvsion hits us with a synthetic chugger, Hristo gets muscular with some Hells Angels psych funk and Hreno blisses us out with the heavenly Balearic vibrations of “Closely Now”, a must have for anyone who copped that Omena LTD 10″ recently. On the C-side Koosh turns the clock back a couple of years with a simply outstanding deep disco builder before the main man returns with the heavyweight head nod of “Astrology”, a scuzzy, fuzzy dub delight. Staying in the driver’s seat at the top of the D-side, Eddie delivers the album’s crowning glory with a stellar rework of JJ Cale’s undeniably sexy “Ride Me High”. Khotin & Dane ease us towards the finish line with the horizontal groove of “Pa Pa Pa Paa” before Cem G shakes the curtain down with the bass heavy dub soul of “Don’t Go”. The track curation is second to none, all killers sticky with the funk and sure to work well from beach bar to barn dance (Review by piccadillyrecords).

Lbel: Red Motorbike
Format: hand-stamped 2xLP + insert
Cat: BIKE 011
Released: 21 Apr 15
Genre: Disco/Nu-Disco
BUY from JUNO Records

TRACK LISTING
A1.
