In the past couple of years, we’ve had killer deep house revisions of the British soulstress from Vin Sol and Matrixxman, and, most recently, Adesse Versions. Here Florian Kupfer adds his name to the Sade re-edit roll of honour, delivering typically lush, sensual and steamy revisions of a couple of classics. On the A, he tackles “Couldn’t Love You More”, turning it into a chunky roller (by way of snappy 909 percussion hits and weighty bottom end), whilst retaining the drifting beauty of Sade’s original vocal. In some ways, the more stripped back and dustier flipside rub (of a different Sade track, naturally), is even better, sounding like a fuzzy, chiming deep house take on the L.I.E.S sound. This is getting a lot of hype, so expect it to sell out swiftly.

Label: Sad Edit
Format: 12″
Cat: SAD 001
Released: 18 May 15
Genre: Deep House
BUY from JUNO Records

Tracklist
Side 1
1. “Track 1”
Side 2
1. “Track 2”

Re-editing or reworking old Sade appears to be a growing trend.
