The band &#8211; led by Yusuje Asano &#8211; have a reputation as a live act that is second to none but their releases aren&#8217;t quite as prolific as their touring schedule. Last spotted on Hiroko Otsuka&#8217;s Piece The Next mix last year, this is their first Soul Garden 45&#8243; and it&#8217;s highly advisable you jump on it&#8230; &#8220;Bemeya Latin Strut&#8221; is a densely weaved jazz workout with elements at delicately balanced odds. &#8220;Dope Walk Slow Talk&#8221; is a much more sedate affair as the sax whips up a fire over a smouldering reggae beat.
