{"id":13932,"date":"2017-11-20T22:35:21","date_gmt":"2017-11-21T03:35:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/motionfm.com\/wp2014\/?p=13932"},"modified":"2017-11-20T22:40:12","modified_gmt":"2017-11-21T03:40:12","slug":"s-tone-inc-with-toco-friends-onda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/motionfm.com\/wp2014\/releases\/s-tone-inc-with-toco-friends-onda\/","title":{"rendered":"S-Tone Inc. with Toco &#038; Friends &#8211; Onda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"120\" src=\"https:\/\/www.juno.co.uk\/player-embed\/SF666617-01-01-01.mp3\/?pl=false&#038;pn=false\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Eight long years have passed since the previous S-Tone Inc.\u2019s full-length (Moon in Libra) and, even if Stefano Tirone hasn\u2019t released anything under his popular pseudonym until Spring 2017, the longtime collaboration and friendship with Tomas Di Cunto (Toco) has never stopped: in fact, he has produced Toco\u2019s \u201cMemoria\u201d in 2014 and since then has never stopped working with Toco, who\u2019s the co-author of 8 out 10 tracks of this release.<\/p>\n<p>As anticipated by the \u201cSuperbacana\u201d EP, the sound of the new album is widely in- fluenced by the Brazilian soul-funk sound of the late \u201870s known as Black Rio. But there\u2019s more, starting from the opening \u201cSands of Time\u201d, an up-tempo groovy track with a lyrical cello melody and Manuela Ravaglioli\u2019s dreamy vocals, and the mellow disco flavor of \u201cVontade de viver\u201d, sung by Toco. Manuela is another historical S-Tone-Inc. artistic partner, together with Laura Fedele, who sings in the soulful downtempo \u201cI can\u2019t keep up with your love\u201d. Barro and Qinho, two emerging singers from the new Brazilian scene, respectively perform in \u201cVale do mist\u00e9rio\u201d, a downtempo tune that borrows some guitars from the alternative rock scene and in \u201cChuva de ver\u00e3o\u201d, with Qinho crooning over a track deeply influenced by Isaac Hayes and Curtis Mayfield.
