S\u00ec, cos\u00ec is a plasma-rippling suite of similar inspirations and includes pulsar-driven<br \/>\ngroovetronics, folky modalisms in waltz time and dreamvitations to the<br \/>\ncine-lounge.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout, organist and leader Rory More re-explores his mid- century Lowrey organ; its oscillators scorched as if on some planetary re-entry. Mellifluous bass clarinet and Arcadian flutes join plangent<br \/>\nelectric piano and woody, orotund-and-echoing percussion. Resonant vibraphone tranquilly pierces the aural nimbus. The variations-on-a-theme blueprint is there also, this time with a subtle mutation towards the moods of post-\u201860s expressions and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>The tone palette, as ever with Les Hommes, is diversified: \u201cVeronique\u201d is quasi spiritualised with thoughts on a modal mood, \u201cMirage\u201d veers towards Roy Budd, \u201cSonorissima bay\u201d gently hypnotises with Echoplexing electric piano figures and primitively visceral organ fluctuations, and \u201cVampo\u201d states its claim to early \u201870s jazzed-out library from Cinecitt\u00e0.
