The result was gorgeous debut album Beautiful, a set that blended his love of jazzy instrumentation and softly soulful vocals with sumptuous deep house grooves, and more organic rhythms and arrangements that drew influence from a mix of soul-jazz, jazz-house, jazz-funk, disco, boogie and the sun-splashed noughties deep house breeziness of San Francisco label Naked Music. As this surprise 20th anniversary vinyl reissue proves, it remains a superb album blessed with a seriously good guest list (Karin.
