Energy Soul

George Athanasiadis aka Energy Soul started djing in 1997 at the early age of 14 years old playing house music at the parties of his friends. Until then he was listening to different kind of music like disco, funk, big beat and hip hop but house music was the only one that really affected him.
In 2000 he began his first radio show on HIT FM, a local station of his town Lamia. The style of his music is soulful, deep 'n' jazzy with some afro-tribal grooves. At the same year he was playing his music in various bars & clubs in Lamia, like Bojo, Venezia, Paradissio, Boreio, Mexicana, Yahoo, also being the resident dj of many fashion shows organized by HIT FM. After that, the year 2001 he moved to Xanthi where he continued djing at the local bars & clubs such as Exo (2001-2002), Chili (2003), Jakcson (2003), Bayser (2004), Kyverneio (2004), My Club (2004).
The year 2005 was very important for Energy Soul because of many reasons. His dj mixing skills were recognized by the world famous deep house music legendary duo, Mateo & Matos, when they asked from George to release a mix cd in their label & then it just happened! At the same year, George Energy Soul Athanasiadis, made a new collaboration with MotionFM.com (ex StyleNetwork.com), and started a new radio mixshow, the well known until today, “Energy Soul Sessions”. He was also heading, at the same period, the weekly “Soulful Nights” event at Momo’s Lounge Bar for 2 years (2005-2006) with a great success, providing quality house music at its best!
In 2007, George returned in his base, Lamia, where he made a reunion with his close friends, Tommy Kourdis & Silky Sounds Crew (John Stathopoulos & George “Jorje” Koutroukis). He has also made some good parties in Kozani with the very important help of DJ Pappa “In The Mix” at Café Café (2007) & La Palma Club (2008) and the year 2009 continues his gigs with a new partnership of DJ Angelo & The Global Fantasy team, in Athens’ clubs like Mamacas, Passé Partout & Cabaret.
From the middle of 2009 until now, he’s holding the residency at Roots Music Bar in Lamia, playing “the roots of house music” (disco, funk, acid jazz, soul, afro, latin, hip hop!) and doing some special house music events with The Silky Sounds Crew at Blance “The Room” club.
In his career, Energy Soul has played alongside many famous greek djs of the house music scene, a few to name is Akylla, Ms Lefki, DimPap & also from the global scene such as Martin Solveig, Matthias Heillbronn, MAS Collective, Max Pela... His passion for the music (good quality house music) is giving him the Energy to continue keeping the vibe alive and doing what he loves most, playing house music & making people’s Soul dancing all night long…
