. . so after almost 6 years of seeing countless shows and playing the man’s healing music from the very beginning it finally happened. I’ve had the chance to talk to Gregory Porter after his show at Zeltival in Karlsruhe in July 2016. We talked about his songs, music, lyrics and he also picked some tunes from my box for this show. Inspiration information for sure.
The interview took place backstage in the cantina while all band members and his 3 years young son played the mini basketball and kept everyone involved, lovely. Thanks so much; Gregory Porter, for taking the time and let’s do a part 2 sometime in the future then.
Kicking off the show with a little Bobby Hutcherson selection and then into the feature plus a musical excursion from the old to the new with the likes of Shabaka Hutchings, Anthony Joseph, The Invisible, Khruangbin and finishing off with a song that is so relevant today.
