When it comes to acid jazz, there is no one more rightfully landed than the Incognito band. Their work in the 80s and 90s very much defined the sound as they fused jazz, funk, soul and dance into an all new form that had people all over getting up to get down. Their latest album, Into You, is as good as any of those earlier works that led to several top ten hits and is dead once again by Jean-Paul ‘Bluey’ Maunick who has been with them since their formation in 1979. Across 16 tracks the group showcase their lush sounds and great musicianship with a perfect blend of the old and the new.
