Dope Jams record store founder and lifelong house music obsessive Anthony Nicholson always serve sup sounds that back up his big talk. The American is well schooled din the classics but never relies on that and instead always brings something fresh. Here he does so in the form of a lush new vocal house single featuring Lailah Reich on Clairaudience. The opening Miquifaye vocal mix is a timeless tune with slick kick-clap combos and rubbery bass. The balmy chords add soul and the vocal is of course the icing on the cake. Flip it over for the instrumental dub, but for our money its the vocal that makes this one.
