This 2020 cover by the UK soul and jazz group Paprika Soul arrives on 45rpm for the first time ever. The group, formed in 1993 by Alan Barnes and Andrew Spiller, brings Melba Moore’s classic to life with the addition of vocalist Jacqui Hicks. It’s a tune that offers a warm, urban-side A and a beat-driven, refreshing disco house mix on Side B and it’s perfect for smooth and Balearic vibes. Originally featured on the Soul Togetherness 2020 double album on Expansion Records LP, this gem was previously only available on CD and digital.
