Reekee – Bal Era EP (feat Glenn Underground Mix)
Italian producer Reekee has laid down soulful grooves for Roots Underground and Wrong Notes over the past year, and now he surfaces once again with this sumptuous turn for Uzuri. “Bal-Era” is the perfect lead track, cultivating a classic deep house mood with passionate keys and synth lines, setting the scene for Glenn Underground to swoop in for an invigorating remix rich with saxophone goodness. “Black Tobacco” on the flip is a more subdued affair, but no less refined in its use of piano at the forefront of the mix, and then “Quartal” ramps up the synth work without losing that infectious, soulful mood.
