Ron Trent Presents Tkumah Sadeek – Crossroads
Ron Trent adds another record to the catalogue of Future Vision with Crossroads. The first of the three mixes – the vocal mix – sees descending piano keys fall upon ascending pads and punchy licks of acid bass, while a cabasa lead house groove drives the track in territory labels like Head Kandi could only dream about reaching. Sharing the A-side is a reprise which features almost everything from the original – except for the kick drum – giving the vocals even more importance than the vocal mix. The dub version doesn’t deviate too far from the original either, following a similar trajectory – building from a slow and mesmeric sequence into a full bodied and dreamlike groove.
